K DRAMA REVIEW: RECORD OF YOUTH

Insight to the ruthless, cruel world of fame and showbiz.

Hello Lovlies! It has been a very crazy two weeks. Anyways, I realized I had totally forgot to write a review about the drama that finished few weeks ago, more like back in October I would say. So here it its!

Now the main reason I watched this dram was because of Park Bo Gum. He is just so lovable and a great actor! I love watching him in many dramas especially, Encounter. Seeing Park Bo Gum with long hair is basically eye candy! Anyways getting back to the new drama of his. Watching this drama, I also began to love Byeong Won Seok, who plays the second lead and Park So Dam who plays the female lead ( will look out for more dramas of them!)

This drama is more than a romance. I was also surprised actually. It focuses more on friendship, trying to achieve one's dream, and it is actually very heartwarming too and relatable too. The drama also gives and insight scoop to the ruthless and cruel world of fame, and showbiz or entertainment. It shows what people actually go through to become celebrities or actors. The character developmemt was written well, although could have been better. I felt there were some issues unresolved between the friends towards the end of the drama. So the plot could have also been well written out. However this is Park Bo Gum's last drama until he is back from military service, which will be done in 2022.

My rating: 3/5

RECORD OF YOUTH

Sa Hye Jun (Park Bo Gum) is 26 year old aspiring to be top model and actor. However he has it harder than his best friend, a rising model and actor, rich son, Won Hae Hyo (Byeong Won Seok). Nonetheless, he works hard into everything he can to climb up the ladder in showbiz, despite his father's and brother's belittling of his career choice. Through a fashion show, he ends up meeting, an aspiring, witty makeup artist, Ahn Jeong Ha (Park So Dam). The three began to form a friendship, however Hye Jun and Jeong Ha start to become closer through their similarities and trying to cheer each other through career struggles. Can they achieve their dreams?

This drama is made by Studio Dragon ( they never make a bad drama!). It is available on Netflix to watch.
