FOOD REVIEW: JINYA RAMEN BAR

So, I thought of doing another type of posts in this food category on the blog. Other than posting recipes, I was thinking about doing reviews about the places I eat, would also be good! So here's goes nothing!

For a close friend's birthday dinner, we all gathered at Jinya Ramen bar. I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! (Out of all ramen places I went, nothing tops this). The ramen bar is the closet you can get to authentic ramen and other types of Japanese food. They have one person seating near the kitchen and you can see the chefs cook, or they have a big middle table where random people sit. If with a group, you can also get a table.

For appetizers, I used to order the salmon and avocado sashimi, but unfortunately they don't have that on the menu anymore. However, I recently tried the Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura for an appetizer/small plate. It was really good with the cream Sriracha sauce on the tempura shrimp and leafy lettuce. The tempura did not get soggy and still stayed crispy and warm with the sauce spread. Now for the main entree, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen ( which is the main picture shown on the post). There are three levels for this, mild, medium and hot. I always get the last level, spicy hot. The ramen comes with a savory, spicy, chicken broth and thin ramen noodles. It's topped with slices of chicken breast meet, cooked spinach, bean sprouts, green onion, and fried onions. On the side I like to add in broccoli and extra bean sprouts.

After a filling meal, I always end up ordering their mochi ice cream no matter how full I am. I get the mixed mochi of chocolate and green tea flavor. They give two big mochis, cut in half, and also good to share between a group.

The only drinks, I had there was the hot sake, the Cherry Blossom cocktail and the Lychee Cocktail. The hot sake is not that bitter and feels warm when drinking it. The Cherry Blossom cocktail is a bitter and the Lychee Cocktail is a bit on the sweeter side.

If y'all have tried any other drinks or entress at JINYA RAMEN BAR, let me know in the comments! I would love to hear your opinion.

This place has a lot of locations, whether you are local in Texas or out of state.
