BIRTHDAY IN THE TIME OF COVID

SunriseLove

Hello all my lovlies! I hope everyone is doing well! For a week now, I kept debating if I should write about this. Well, I finally decided to do it!

Now of course, as it is very obvious, 2020 has just been very stressful for everyone. We all had to a new way of life and have it become the "new normal". I can relate to that very much because it i went through a lot during these times and had a lot delayed due to COVID.

Wherever you are, basically we all mostly just been home, working from home, turned to virtual learning and not being able to socialize like we used to. Due to that, we start to lose our connections and drift apart because of a loss of contact or physically seeing each other. It takes a lot to keep up with your social circle if you are a introvert like me.

Anyways, I thought I would share my experience with you all about celebrating a birthday in the of COVID. This could be one for the books..... hahaha...

So usually on my birthday or a friend's birthday, we would go out for a whole, such as spending a whole day in downtown etc. However this was not the case this year. Our surroundings have become different due to closures, capacity limitations, and the stress of wearing masks and not being to be close to the other person.

But for this birthday, I celebrated at home with a small birthday cake with my parents first. Usually as a family, we would go to the nice place for dinner. Instead we just got takeout from Cheesecake factory.

I did want to something with my friends though! So I arranged a simple dinner at Thai Cottage. Now obviously when we went, we wore masks and took them when we ate. There were only 5-7 tables in the whole restaurant and the food was given in takeout boxes even if we were eating at the restaurant.

However even with the new normal, it was still nice and relieving being able to get together with friends and hang out!
